Alexi Laiho pushed the boundaries of death metal with unrivaled virtuosic melodicism. The ESP LTD Alexi Ripped is based on one of Lex's final designs, and it's something that — prior to his untimely passing — the Children of Bodom frontman was proud of and eager to unleash. The LTD Alexi Ripped features an aggressive, offset "V"-shaped body, decked out in a Purple Fade Satin finish with "ripped" pinstripes. A set of passive EMG pickups arms this metal-ready axe for roughed-up mayhem. Neck-thru-body construction ensures maximum resonance and sustain. You also get a comfortable 3-piece maple neck that's capped by a fast-playing 24-fret ebony fingerboard, plus a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo for rock-solid twisting, bending, and dive-bombing. The LTD Alexi Ripped is topped off with head-turning chrome hardware, sawtooth fingerboard inlays, and glow-in-the-dark side markers.
