The Gretsch Electromatic Collection hollow body guitars are a series with sound and style inspired by classic Gretsch guitars from the 50s and 60s. With the sound, style, and playability of hollow bodies, which are the greatest appeal of Gretsch, Electromatic guitars offer an ideal lineup for players who want to take their game to the next level.

Inspired by the 1959 G6120, the G5428TG-59 Electromatic Hollow Body FSR features a laminated maple body with a vintage-style silhouette, refined arches, and trestle block bracing to suppress unnecessary howling. By increasing the rigidity of the body top and back and increasing the number of contact points, the clarity and crispness of the sound are improved, producing a rich sustain and a fast attack. The newly developed FT-5E Filter'Tron pickup enhances the guitar's original full-body tone, classic brilliance, and sound contours, providing a sound full of presence.

The newly designed Classic “C” shaped maple neck provides a comfortable feel that enhances playability and performance. It also features a variety of upgraded specs such as master volume with treble bleed circuit, master tone, volume control for each pickup, 3-way pickup toggle switch, and oversized F-holes with binding. It is equipped with multi-ply body binding, small late 50s G6120 bound headstock, vintage-style open-back tuning machines, Graph Tech NuBone nut, pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlay, fixed Adjusto-Matic bridge, and Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece.
