Ibanez AE170-NTR AE Series Acoustic Electric Guitar, Natural High Gloss

The AE170 is an AE series acoustic/electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 2025.

The AE170 features a shallow AE body with a Venetian cutaway constructed of a solid Sitka spruce top with X-M bracing on laminated flamed maple sides and back with an open pore finish. It has an A.I.R.port on the top side to provide the player with a more direct sound. The front soundhole is round with an abalone rosette with no pickguard. It has a maple neck with a Comfort Grip profile with a 20-fret Thermo-Aged ovangkol fingerboard with split block position markers. Components include a compensated plastic saddle in a scalloped Thermo-Aged ovangkol bridge with Ibanez Advantage pins, a plastic nut, and chrome die-cast tuning machines.

Electronics consist of a T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with volume and tone controls and on-board tuner powered by a 9 volt battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼” outputs.
