The EVH 5150® Series DX is a high-performance electric guitar engineered for players who demand speed, precision and unmistakable EVH attitude. Blending classic styling with modern upgrades, this reimagined 5150 features a basswood body with a quilt maple top, dual EVH Wolfgang® humbuckers, a Floyd Rose® tremolo with D-Tuna® and a built-in kill switch for expressive modern performance. Designed to deliver exceptional playability and signature EVH tone, it is equally at home on stage, in the studio or anywhere serious guitarists push their limits.

Built for Speed and Comfort

The modified 5150 body features a lightweight basswood construction with a beautifully figured quilt maple top and a deeper upper body contour for enhanced playing comfort. A bolt-on quartersawn baked maple neck reinforced with graphite rods provides outstanding strength and stability, while the hand-rubbed satin finish and EVH Modified "C" profile create an exceptionally smooth playing experience. The baked maple fingerboard features a 12"-16" compound radius and 22 jumbo frets, allowing effortless rhythm work, wide bends and lightning-fast lead playing.

Signature EVH Wolfgang® Tone

A pair of direct-mount EVH Wolfgang® humbuckers delivers the powerful sound that has become synonymous with the EVH name. The bridge pickup produces punchy lows, articulate mids and endless sustain, while the neck pickup delivers thick overdrive, fluid lead tones and impressive clean articulation. A three-position toggle switch, low-friction volume control with treble bleed circuit and high-friction tone control provide intuitive and precise tonal control.

Floyd Rose® Performance with Kill Switch

The EVH-branded top-mount Floyd Rose® locking tremolo with EVH D-Tuna® gives you exceptional tuning stability while allowing instant switching between standard tuning and Drop D. A dedicated kill switch expands your creative possibilities, making rhythmic stutter effects and aggressive performance techniques quick and effortless.
